We enjoyed our stay at Eco Hotel! I think the value for the cost is excellent. While our room was a bit basic, it provide everything we could possibly need for our time in El Nido. We loved having a hammock right outside to relax after a long day in the sun. The service was excellent and our bed was very comfortable!

Worst experience ever! DO NOT TRUST THIS company.
Paid for 2 sunset rooms 6 months ahead for our holiday in El Nido.
When we arrived, they informed us that they had overbooked the hotel, and therefore 1 of our rooms was downgraded. They said they were aware of this problem in advance, and chose not to inform us, which would have given us an opportunity to change our booking.
They were initially not prepared to do anything to compensate us. Only after 2 hours (no exaggeration) of pressing the manager, did they agree on a nominal amount that we would be refunded.
This was given to us IN WRITING.
This was 3 weeks ago now, and we haven’t received anything. I have emailed the accounting department, as well as the manager multiple times, and haven’t even received an acknowledgment.
I am absolutely furious and disgusted by their behaviour.
Stay far away from Eco Hotels anywhere in the Philippines. They are absolutely not to be trusted.

Upon our arrival, the room was not ready. We waited half an hour for the room to be ready after check-in time and when we got there there was no water, no hot water in the shower, no WiFi, and the bathroom wasn't clean and looked like a hostel bathroom. We had the sunset suite which is supposed to be nice and was more than double the price of the other rooms. We contacted the staff twice about the water being turned off and after the second time they turned it back on. The water was dark brown and they told us to run it for 5 minutes but the drain did not work. After turning the water off for a few minutes so it could drain, it once again didn't work and we did not have water for 2 hours. No wifi they have there reaches that room so we only had internet near the reception. There were cockroaches in the room and bathroom. After speaking to the manager he told us to contact Agoda for compensation because we booked through them. Agoda was not able to get a response for 2 weeks and responded that the property replied that they are unable to provide a solution. We don't recommend staying there! There are better hotels in the area and they are cheaper too.

Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended
During our 16-day trip through the Philippines, Suites by Eco Hotel El Nido unfortunately turned out to be the biggest disappointment – especially considering the relatively high price.
From the moment we arrived, we noticed that the water in both the shower and the sink was brown and discolored. When we addressed this at the front desk, the receptionist with glasses responded indifferently, simply stating that it was “normal” and that the water came from underground. There was no apology, no attempt to resolve the issue, and absolutely no sense of empathy or customer care.
To make matters worse, on one of the days during our stay, there was no water at all – meaning it was impossible to shower, use the toilet, or even wash our hands. For a hotel in this price range, this is completely unacceptable.
Even more concerning was the presence of rats in the reception area. They came so close to guests that we felt compelled to leave the area immediately. For a hotel in this category, such hygienic conditions are beyond unacceptable.
Another negative experience was the hotel’s so-called Easter surprise: a plastic egg with a voucher was hidden in our room – in our case, for a free breakfast, and our friends received a voucher for a free beer. When we tried to redeem the beer on Easter Sunday evening, the same disinterested receptionist informed us that the voucher was only valid until noon – something that had never been communicated. We then asked about the free breakfast for the following morning (Easter Monday), only to be told that we should have signed up on a list the previous day before noon. What was meant to be a kind gesture instead created frustration and disappointment.
Overall, the hotel is run-down, the water situation unacceptable, and the service far below expectations. Regrettably, this was the worst – and most expensive – hotel we stayed at during our trip. We cannot recommend Suites by Eco Hotel El Nido under any circumstances.

I really debated how much to give here.
The room is nice but theres a weird smell.
I stayed in 2 different rooms. (On different nights)
One had this issue with the sink which took forever to drain. They had shampoo conditioner and soap which i thought was nice cuz I stayed in a much more expensive hotel which didn’t have that. The location is quite and much better than main area in my opinion but depends on what you like. I paid around 60 and 90 us dollar for each night, which I think is overpriced for this but that was the option. If it was ~40 I’d gice 3 stars.
