What an amazing experience. I am 19 and I haven’t gone diving since I was 14. I booked a refresher course with Palawan Divers the shop is so professional and a very high standard. The crew are funny and love to have a laugh with everyone on board. I had two amazing dive Instructors they helped me remember the knowledge and all the skills and then took me on 3 amazing dives around el nido. The sea is recovering from the typhoon so the visibility wasn’t amazing but we still got to see a cuttle fish, turtle and lots and lots of fish. The lunch was amazing so well cooked and still warm. I would 100% recommend this place over any other in the town.
My sister and I decided to do the Discover scuba dives a night before. Matteo from Palawan Divers was so prompt with responding to us on WhatsApp (less than 60 seconds) followed by which he shared very clear details and everything was booked and confirmed with 20 minutes. Matteo answered every phone call or question on message which I had. This is so important for someone who needs to feel comfortable. The next morning we met at the dive shop and were assigned to our instructor Glen. He took us out in shallow water on our first dive and was so patient in teaching us the skills and kept repeating what we needed to hear. We had only signed up for two dives but on the boat we decided to do a third as well as it was just so magical. Despite of not booking lunch on the boat they had vegetarian options to meet my dietary restrictions. The three destinations for diving in order were Paradise beach, Helicopter island and Nat Nat (third and last being the best in terms of coral and fish). We rented the GoPro 12 for pictures and videos which didn’t turn out the way we wanted them to but great for memory keep sake. All in all this was such an easy, stress free, wonderful experience to do while you’re in El Nido. Dont think twice to book with Matteo and his team at Palawan and ask for Glen the instructor - you won’t regret it!!
Amazing experience! Highlight of our stay in El Nido without any doubt. We did our Open Water, doing tests of theory in our phones and once there, two full two days of divings in beautiful spots with the boat. Pot was our guide, made us feel so comfortable all the time, fast-peaced learning. Nice food as well. Highly recommend it.
My wife and I finish our Advance Open Water with Palawan Divers. The instructor was awesome, full of practical advise. We returned to complete a day of fun dives and loved it. All staff from admin, to boat crew and dive masters were lovely and respectful. The lunch provided is also second to none. They considered dive experience when allocating groups, ensuring everyone has the best possible experience and are not limited or pushed beyond their ability. 100% recommend.
We made a discovery dive and started our padi open water the next day. From boat crew to instructors everyone had fun and a good time. Handling the well maintained equipment felt very save and the training was very professional. On all three days we had Glen as our instructor who was very nice and patient. Palawan divers will see us again for sure!
