My honest review the hotel itself was great.đ€ And all the staffs are friendly and very accommodating. They really went out of their way to assist you. And located near on the beach, which makes it very comfortable. And they offer a complimentary ice cream everydayâșïž And what I really love of the hotel, there breakfast was good. For me, Isla Amara Resort is one of the great place to stay in El Nido. Overall, was great!đ€ Kudos to the Hotel Isla Amara Resort and to all staffs đ€ Definitely, will go back always, whenever Iâll visit El Nidođ€đ„°

Disappointing Experience, Not Worth the Price
Our stay at Isla Amara was a significant disappointment. The resort failed to deliver even the most basic expectations, making it far from worth the price.
- Rooms and Check-in Experience:
Despite the 2 PM check-in time, we were left waiting an additional 45-50 minutes because the rooms were not ready. Once inside, we found the room dusty and unwelcoming. Adding to the frustration, the deluxe room we booked for its âgarden viewâ had a window facing a wall insteadâcompletely misleading and unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the room lacked basic conveniences like a telephone. This meant we had to walk all the way to the reception for any requests, which is highly inconvenient and unprofessional for a resort. Additionally, we were only provided one key card. When we requested a second one, we were informed that it would cost extraâa policy that feels unnecessary and unfair.
- Amenities and Supplies:
The resort seemed entirely unprepared to accommodate guests. We were provided only one bath towel and a floor mat because they had "run out of towels." Itâs shocking that a resort could operate without sufficient essentials like towels for their guests.
- Pool and Facilities:
The pool was in poor condition, with visible dirt and dead insects floating around. It was clear that the filter was either broken or simply not turned on. For a resort that promotes itself as a place of relaxation, the state of the pool was completely unacceptable.
- Dining and Breakfast:
Breakfast options were extremely limited, and if you didnât arrive early, you were out of luck. On one occasion, we arrived at 9:40 AM and found empty trays that had not been refilled. This lack of attention to guest needs was frustrating and made the overall dining experience subpar.
- Cleanliness and Service:
The entire property appeared dirty and poorly maintained. While a handful of staff were polite and greeted us, the majority lacked basic hospitality and professionalism.
Isla Amara does not deliver on its promises and is far from worth its price. From the lack of telephones in the rooms to insufficient supplies, delayed check-ins, and dirty facilities, it was an overall disappointing experience. Significant improvements in cleanliness, organization, and customer service are needed before this resort can be recommended. Until then, I would advise travelers to look elsewhere for their vacation needs.

rooms are decent size. we were 3 people and the fold out extra bed wouldnât stabilize. they only grant one complimentary room key that powers the electricity in the room so.. that sucks. no conditioner or lotion in the bathroom. stingy with water. charged us daily for stains on the towels at 900 each night. easily bleachable so i found that unreasonable
breakfast is decent but not guaranteed they will refill food as it gets eaten. not that close to the city.. i think itâs overpriced and i personally wouldnât come back or recommend
aesthetic enough but no actual value add staying here
the night front desk guy was nice though

Location is the best. They let us check in early. We arrived at 12:15 and our room was ready. We were two adults with 4 kids and I was surprised to find our room was still very spacious and it was the cheapest room that we booked. We paid for two extra beds and they make up your room without you asking, free icecreal in the afternoon, pool was super nice. And finally, Lio beach is absolutely lovely!
Breakfast was great. But the only thing disappointing was the christmas buffet it didnt feel so lively idk and not too many options but all else were greta. Would love to come back! Staff were also very nice contrary to some reviews.

WORST RESORT !
My expectations for Isla Amara were unfortunately not met, and I feel compelled to express my dissatisfaction. This was my first visit in El Nido, and I booked this resort hoping it would provide a memorable way to conclude our holiday, but instead, it became the most disappointing part of our stay.
We paid AU$715 for a 2-night stay in a suite, but it simply was not worth the price. Upon arrival at 13:30, we were informed that our suite would not be ready until 15:00âan hour later than the stated check-in time. While waiting, we overheard other guests expressing frustration due to a water outage at the resort that day. Some were even forced to use the pool to bathe, as there was no water available.
The resortâs amenities left much to be desired. The only offer was a minimal 20% discount on drinks, and there was no proper restaurant, gym, or activities like island hoppingâsomething youâd expect on an island like this. The pool was not properly maintained, with the filter off, leaving the water questionable. To make matters worse, they ran out of beach towels due to laundry issues.
In terms of the room, it was below expectations for the price we paid. The curtains were dirty and appeared to not have been washed in a long time. Housekeeping told us they could only replace one of the curtains, not the other, as it still needed to be laundered. We asked the housekeeping to just spray it with something and said they donât have a spray for curtains to get rid of stains.
The room wasnât thoroughly cleaned eitherâthere was sand and dust on the furniture. Given that we booked a suite, we expected a higher standard, but we found no robes or even face towels, just regular bath towels. The bathroom door was poorly designed, and overall, the suite was far from luxurious.
Additionally, there was a lack of staff training. Housekeeping disturbed us multiple times during our stayâonce at 22:30 when we were already asleep, and again at midday while we were napping, which was frustrating. There was no âDo Not Disturbâ sign available, which is a basic feature in any resort.
As for the amenities, the internet connection was abysmal. We had to rely on a nearby public Wi-Fi network, as the resortâs service was too slow to even watch television. The power kept going out, and we were told that the resort was working on fixing it. There was also no phone in our room to contact reception, and the staff mentioned they were still in the process of installing it.
In the end, the experience was incredibly stressful, and instead of relaxing, I spent my time dealing with issues that should not have been part of a holiday at a resort of this price. As a first-time visitor to El Nido, I regret choosing Isla Amara and will not be returning. I sincerely hope the management addresses these concerns for future guests.
Also, why would you put a hairdryer in the wardrobe? This resort is poorly designed.
