I had a great stay at Golden Monkey! The hotel is right on the beach with a restaurant that has amazing views of Cadlao Island. I loved having my meals there while watching the sea. The rooms are simple but nicely decorated, and I found it to be good value for money. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The food was good too! If you want a nice beachfront hotel in El Nido that won't cost too much, I definitely recommend staying here.

Our stay at the Golden Monkey Beach Hotel was a mixed experience. While the service was excellent, the hotel itself didn’t quite live up to the hype, and we encountered a few issues that impacted our overall enjoyment. Let’s start with the positives. The staff were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. The breakfast was a highlight, with a wide variety of options that catered to different tastes, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. We truly appreciated the hospitality. However, the hotel fell short in a few key areas. Despite being right in front of the beach, the location was tricky to navigate. The narrow roads leading up to the hotel were a challenge, and it didn’t help that the hotel was located next to a cemetery, which added an odd vibe to the surroundings. Additionally, during our stay, we had some uninvited visitors. They were persistent enough to disrupt our sleep, which made it difficult to fully relax. A suggestion would be to consider applying pesticides to the rooms prior to guest check-ins to ensure a more comfortable stay. While the hotel’s reputation made us expect more, the experience was more overrated than we anticipated. The service was top-notch, and the breakfast was great, but other aspects of our stay left much to be desired. If you're looking for a peaceful, easygoing experience, this might not be the ideal choice. Overall, our stay was okay, but with some improvements, particularly in pest control and location access, Golden Monkey Beach Hotel could be a much better experience for future guests.

Really enjoyed our stay, the location and the view were incredible. The rooms were very basic, nice, maybe a little dark. The service could have been a lot better. The reception was very lackluster and stingy with details. When inquiring about booking tours with them they just referred me to a printed out poster with an overview and were unwilling to elaborate further. The tricycle shuttle to town is nice in theory, but it only goes at certain hours making it fairly useless. It’s active in the morning between 8-10am, which is too early if you want a relaxed morning, but too late if you have booked diving or another activity. It only goes again later in the evening. The breakfast was also a little sad with instant coffee and dry toast. We were also told breakfast would be between 7-10. However when I showed up at 9:40 they told me that the last order is at 9:30 and only reluctantly accepted my order. Overall the location and scenery is gorgeous, and we really did have an amazing time!

we had a really nice stay here! It’s just a 15 minute walk to El Nido town. The cottages are really cute. Just be careful to choose a room with AC, some of them don’t have a unit. Ours did and it worked well. Breakfast was amazing! Really delicious, and you have a great view of the beach while you eat. Staff was really nice. One thing to note when getting there - we were on motorcycle and Google maps took us down a very tricky dirt road/hill, not for the faint of heart. We found out after that there’s a small paved road along the beach that is much better. If you take a car/van, you cannot get there. You’ll have to be dropped off near town and walk 15 minutes. They also have a really convenient tricycle shuttle service that’ll pick up and drop off from town, and it’s free, you just have to let them know.

The hotel is amazing. Great decoration it makes you feel you are in the jungle. Direct access to the beach. The neighbours rent kayak and the atmosphere is so nice
