A total joy from start to finish; the staff were so welcoming, the rooms immaculate and the Christmas festivities were so brilliant - songs sung my local school children, a dance performance by the staff and an amazing hog roast on Christmas eve. We came to this resort after a bad experience nearby and were so happy to have found it. Our children, aged 7 and 9, enjoyed the badminton, volleyball and basketball and the staff were very accommodating with my son's food needs. The massages were excellent and good value, and the host Via was very helpful. All in all a 5/5 experience. Thank you!
Although the resort has a nice location, the price-quality ratio is low. The rooms are sparsely furnished, no wardrobe, no bedside tables, only one bed; even the bathroom lacks any storage space. Once you are there, the resort takes advantage of the fact that you have no other option but to eat in the restaurant. Only a buffet is offered for lunch and dinner. The quality of the food is mediocre, to say the least, while the price is way overpriced. To get to the resort, you have to rely on the resort's boat. Once again, the resort takes advantage of this and charges completely inflated prices for the transfer. Since the transfer is charged per person and not per boat ride for some inexplicable reason, you may end up paying $500 USD just for the boat transfer if you arrive with your family or friends. I have never felt so ripped off as I did at this resort. Never again.
Flower island is a little slice of paradise that's preserved from mass tourism, big crowds and pollution! I live in the Philippines and I must say this remains my favorite island among all the places I've been to here. I couldn't recommend this place more to anyone who wants a unique island experience, surrounded with nature and pristine waters. The villas are all facing the ocean, comfortable and well decorated, the staff is extremely friendly and professional. The food is always fresh and they always have enough choices for all palates (we had freshly baked baguette every morning for breakfast!). The open air restaurant and the well trained staff made us feel safe at all times. There are lots of beautiful corals, tropical fish and turtles to observe just a few meters away from the white beach. A stay on Flower Island will definitely change anyone's perception of island life for ever. I can't wait to return over and over again!
Truly a nature lover’s getaway. We have returned to this island several times and enjoy the magic of Mother Nature- from diving to see tropical fish, to hiking up above the jungle canopy. Sunset by the bar is always a spectacle. The massages and food always tempt us to extend!
Great island and staff, but borderline and almost fraudulent way of charging for children. Basically be careful that when you book the family presidential bungalow for two adults and two kids, they confirm the four person booking and quote you one price. At checkout they add children each as ‘incedential’ costs at a hefty extra charge. On raising this unusual pricing practice with them, they only referred to the small print that somewhere says that the room quote was for 2 people only… never had this in my life. As they were unwilling to budge, it’s a shame, but we will not be returning.
