Wonderful stay at Moringa Resort. Tastefully decorated rooms, delicious a la carte breakfast - the shakshuka was so yummy! And our waiter remembered our room number which is nice. Perfect location for us as it’s close to the sunset bars and great restaurants whilst being a 5min trike ride into town (100pesos one way). Also liked having a cold water dispenser outside our room. Would happily stay again and wish we were staying for longer! Especially after we found the new gym equipment in the back corner (this should definitely be something to advertise on the front deck). Thanks for everything.
6 nights at the resort, which is a bit further away from the city but well situated for a quiet stay. The tricycle is a 100 pesos to the city centre. The grounds are well kept, the room cleaned everyday. Breakfast is worth the price, especially since there aren’t a great many places to eat breakfast around the hotel. The pool is nice. The only weak spot is the wifi and mobile reception. Do not expect anything extraordinary. Otherwise a great experience, good value for a middle aged couple like us.
A very clean and quiet resort a bit outside of El Nido Port town. I would like to commend the staff on being friendly, always helpful and overall very cheerful. 5/5 stars, the only caveat being that our AC was leaking water a bit each day and some of the bathroom installation seemed a bit shoddy (as in wobbly faucet). Still a great place with a lovely pizzeria in the backyard and surrounded by greenery.
Moringa Resort is a small resort in El Nido with very good attention to detail. I found on air bnb, not knowing it was a resort. It is in a very good location with restaurants in either direction or a tuk tuk ride away. The beach it offers its guests, via the coco's resort, is pretty to see but very rocky to swim. I recommend Vanilla Beach (10 minutes away). The staff is very nice and the restaurant was on par with most local restaurants. The rooms have a balcony facing the pools and are reasonably sized with a bathroom, sitting area and work desk. The air conditioning was not that great. Mosquitos would wander in the room from the balcony which is expected in this tropical oasis. The only mistake I made was booking transportation with them and when arriving - it was not there. The resort is a 15 minute drive. I would stay with them again but not booking through air bnb but direct.
Rooms are nice, clean and nicely equipped. The pool and garden are also very pleasant to spend time. Unfortunately the service is a big minus, the ladies at the reception remind you to the minute what time check-out is, however, the fact that the room is not ready at the check-in time is not a problem for them.. they are just saying: „not ready you need to wait”… they will not even apologize that you do not get what you pay for. When I ask what time my room will be ready they replied: „We do not know”. I have many examples of such approach resulted in bad experience. Be carefull with booking local trips with them, they are mixing the prices, can’t reply to simple questions. In case of some issue with weather they are saying the trip is cancelled and not mentioning anything about paid money, other options etc. In fact it is better to find and talk directly to the tour Company they are cooperating as the staff is super friendly and flexible. At the end during check out they tried to charge me for drinks order that was not mine! When I said this is not my order and not my signature on the bill for drinks they said we would wait for the pool staff to explain it. After 10 min when I said I have no more time to wait as my transfer is waiting and they can see different name on the bill they ignored me totaly and said - waiting for pool bar staff. Of course it was no my order at the end but again … not even sorry for trying to force me for payment .. Not the best experience and very low quality of reception service in general. I visited the hotel at the end of November.
