Fantastic! Airport transfers on time, nice cold water waiting for you, then a quick and easy water taxi ride. Food was great. Beers were cold. Great snorkeling off the jetty. It was a little shallow in the bay but that helps protect the shark pups hunting the octopus. Sunrise and sunset hikes were great. Complementary neck massage in room was amazing. Wish we had more time here but it was a quick stopover. Our hotel prior to Cauayan, five star???, couldn’t hold a candle to this place. Well done staff!

We fell in love with Cauayan Island during our trip in January 2024 and are returning next year. We can’t wait. This resort is top notch in every way. From the amazing and friendly service to the food and drinks, you can’t go wrong at all. Everything we experienced was next level. If you’re looking for a quiet, secluded, serene and romantic property, this is the one. The cove beach is beautiful and the resort is set on its own private island — you feel like you’re on truly on a remote island in the middle of nature (and really, you are!). It’s amazing. The trip was more than worth it coming from the United States, and we can’t wait to return.

Our stay at Cauayan Resort was fantastic, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, scenic getaway in El Nido. The overall experience was excellent—everything from the stunning views to the exceptionally clean amenities made for a memorable visit. The staff were very pleasant and attentive, making us feel welcome from start to finish. Highlights: • The scenic beauty of this resort is simply outstanding. Everywhere you look, there’s a breathtaking view, whether you’re by the infinity pool or in the spa. • Clean and well-maintained facilities make it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. • The spa experience was one of the best I’ve had. My massage therapist was excellent, and the setting provided a truly relaxing atmosphere. • The food selection was top-notch, offering a great variety that we thoroughly enjoyed. Things to Consider: • Not very family-friendly: While we had a fantastic experience, it became clear that Cauayan is more suited to couples or adults. There aren’t many activities for young children, so families with small kids or toddlers might find it a bit limited. If Cauayan Resort were to consider becoming more family-oriented, I’d suggest a few additions: • Providing swimming diapers as a courtesy for families to prevent any pool incidents. • Setting up a small kids’ play area would make the experience more enjoyable for families with young children. • Improving the arrival bridge would add an extra layer of safety, especially for guests with heavier luggage. Lastly, while there are great activities like island hopping available, it would be wonderful to see a few on-site entertainment options—perhaps a show or event to keep guests engaged without leaving the resort. In conclusion, Cauayan Resort provided a superb experience for us. My daughter especially enjoyed the infinity pool! We would gladly come back again.

The perfect place for laid-back and quiet luxury. I spent my honeymoon here and I couldn’t ask for a better experience. The rooms come with a sunken bath and a patio in the water — perfect for yoga and meditation. They have several equipment that are free to use such as kayaks, paddle boards, and snorkeling goggles. The staff service is top-notch. The staff can do any dish that you ask as long as they have the ingredients. I recommend trying all their Filipino dishes, although they also have French, Spanish and New American. The lagoon view is immaculate. The concept of time becomes more abstract at this resort. Simply the best experience at this island resort.

The cleanliness and hospitality are below average. Upon arrival, we noticed significant dust on the tables next to our bed and bathroom, and the outdoor couch had a strong sour & foul odor. This immediately raised concerns about the resort’s overall cleanliness. Why wouldn't they change the couch covers before new guests arrive? The room was dirty as well. I started cleaning when I arrived. When I requested extra towels, the staff seemed reluctant, limiting us to only two per day and questioning why we needed more. It's strange for a place charging premium rates to be so stingy with basic amenities like towels and toilet paper. I wanted the extra towels because the room's furniture was noticeably old, dirty, and stained, and I didn’t feel comfortable placing my belongings and clean clothes on it. While some staff members were nice, the overall service was inconsistent. Liza was not very polite or warm and I felt uncomfortable around her. She never smiles and her mannerisms come across as very cold. She looks like she does not want to be there. The room was smaller than expected and, more importantly, dirty/dusty/stained/old. It needed a deep cleaning and a furniture makeover. The staff seemed friendly as long as you didn’t ask for much, but any additional requests were met with reluctance, making me feel like a burden.
