Kudos to the friendly staff that invited me in as well as the one the served me. They are friendly and attentive to me despite being just a solo eater. The "happy hour" drink was served quite fast but the Lamb took a bit longer, and I think it was a bit overdone but still tasted delicious. Not really sure how a lamb is supposed to be cooked but this one is a bit stiffer than the lambs served in restaurants in Manila. On the flip side, the serving size is much larger than what I would have gotten in Manila for the same prize.
As for payment options, they offer "limited" CREDIT CARD and GCASH Payment. GCash users would understand that there are limits to it (unless of course you enroll it as a business account), but what I really found weird was that they were actually limiting Credit Card payment so they would avoid paying higher service charge to their provider. Though I understand the business side of that, I find it hard to understand that from a customer perspective. You already have the facility, why not make full use of it for the convenience of your customers, right? Perhaps there could be a win-win solution to this situation.

Crab linguine was not available, so I opted for gambas pasta. Ordered calamansi daiquiri too, and I’m glad I did because it was the best cocktail I’ve tried on this trip. The pasta was perfect. Sauce was flavorful, shrimps were a little overcooked, but it was ok. There was a hint of spiciness in there and I liked it. Feta cheese pulled all the flavors together. Sunset view was the best, I could stay there the whole evening. Didn’t really like the hummus, it was quite bland and pita bread that came with it was served warm, so plus points for that.

After an exhilarating day of island hopping, my partner and I headed straight to Café Athena for their happy hour, and it was the perfect way to unwind. The spot itself is a gem—think authentic Greek vibes paired with a stunning view of the sea. The ambiance was elevated by their excellent choice of music, creating a laid-back yet vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're looking for great drinks, good tunes, or simply a beautiful place to relax by the water, Café Athena checks all the boxes 👍🏼

Cafe Athena is a must visit with panoramic views into the bay and delicious food on the menu. The staff are quick to serve and polite. I've listed 3 times during my 1 week stay in El Nido. Firstly I had the coconut milk pancakes and then the second time I had the French toast. Both pancake and toast were so soft with a side of local honey and fruits.
