Excellent resort! Lovely individual huts with brilliant customer service. It's a 5min drive out of town center but perfect to be away from it all. Breakfast served was great. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much. Would highly recommend

We stayed 4 nights at the Anitsa Resort in El Nido. The little “bungalow” was really nice and spacious. The bed was comfortable as well. The bathroom as well as the bungalow as a whole were really nice and clean. The breakfast was tasty, however you are not able to choose yourself (they ask in advance for allergies etc.). The location of the hotel is a bit away from the city center (which was a plus for us, as it was quiet and you can rent a scooter at the hotel). Also, the pool and breakfast area were tidy and pretty. Be aware that the hotel is really close to the airport (the noise was okay in our opinion). Unfortunately, the bathroom smelled a bit (probably because of the drainage).

One of the highlight of this hotel is the breakfast and the staffs were very helpful and friendly. They organized everything from the airport transport and some tours which we really enjoyed. I highly recommended this hotel if you want to be in a quiete place which you could hear the sounds of the birds every morning when waking up.

Stayed here with my partner for 7 days but unfortunately more style than substance… Cannot recommend at all - the following is just a realistic description of mine and other perceptions of this “resort”. They cannot reach up to their high price and the indicated standard. As shown in other reviews, the staff is on their phones and have a hard time being nice with customers. The rooms look nice but especially the bed was very hard and uncomfortable - okay for 2-3 days but not longer than that. We also had some stains on the bedsheet but overall it seemed to be clean. The shower pressure is very low and metallic smelling, I guess that is due to the general infrastructure here in El Nido. Also the drainage not really worked. Also stains in the shower at the bottom. In the first days the bed was made very nice and also the dishes are washed and replaced but after 3 days the effort slowly faded, not making the bed properly. Also as seen on pictures, every single pool towel is very dirty with big brown/orange stains on it. For such much money I expected to get clean towels… They try to be friendly but really do not manage to let customers feel welcomed. At breakfast you just sit down and wait for the food but really no one welcomes you or assures you that you are served. Dirty tables are left with all the food and the staff is just on their phones not clearing the dirty tables. No eye contact or anything - you just wait and hope to be served. The breakfast itself though is nice and changes daily! Also the transfer is inflexible, we had to get to El Nido which is a 10 min drive but 1:30h before the indicated operating hours of the shuttle but unfortunately they could not make this possible. So we had to pay extra for that which is annoying. Overall 2/5 stars and I cannot understand the good ratings at all to be honest.

Avoid this place at all costs!!! Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews. If you’re okay with hostel-level hygiene, maybe this place is fine. But if you expect basic cleanliness & respect, do not stay here. From the moment we arrived, it was a disaster. The pillows had visible bugs & black straight hair all over them, definitely not ours, as I have red hair & my partner has curly braids. Hair was scattered across the bed, not just a strand or two. The floor was covered in dirty footprints & hadn’t been mopped. It felt like no effort had been made to prepare the room. The bathroom was disgusting. There were PUBIC hairs stuck to the shower wall, clearly not cleaned or sanitized. The towels were low quality & left bits of lint stuck to our skin for hours. Instead of feeling refreshed, we felt dirtier after using them. We found a dead bug on the pillow & ants crawling across the floor. The bed had crumbs all over it. Three of the pillows were unusable due to dirt & stains, so we had to share one between us for the whole night. The A/C was useless, forcing us to use the ceiling fan, which spread thick dust & a strange, stale odour. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned in months. Every part of the room felt neglected. We also booked a boat tour through them. But because of the disgusting room & torrential rain, we spent the entire night talking to Airbnb support from 10pm to 3am. The advertised 24/7 front desk was empty & unreachable. We got no sleep, missed the boat tour, & were refused a refund, despite paying in cash & despite them claiming the food was already “accounted for,” which made no sense. I’ve done tours in El Nido before, & they cook food fresh on the boat. They expected us to go out in a thunderstorm with visible lightning. How is that safe? When we raised this with the manager, she was dismissive, unapologetic & incredibly unprofessional. She blamed us for not reporting to the nonexistent night staff. She repeatedly spoke over me in Tagalog & ignored my black partner, as if she wasn’t even there. Her behavior was passive aggressive, disrespectful & laced with microaggressions. It was blatant racial & cultural bias was at play. I truly believe we were treated worse because of how we look. This wouldn’t happen to any white counterparts. Maybe if we were white we wouldn’t have experienced such horrible service. They offered breakfast to make up for the issues, but even that had HAIR in it. We only ate the fruit out of caution. Again, disgusting. Airbnb was more understanding & allowed us to check out early. The host never responded or took accountability, & the manager failed at every step to address the situation with any professionalism or care. My partner is autistic with sensory sensitivities. The lack of hygiene, dust, bugs & smells made the stay emotionally overwhelming for her. It was not a safe, clean space for her to rest. It was a triggering & deeply uncomfortable experience. While a few staff members were polite, the manager completely ruined any chance at resolving things. Her job is to support guests, yet she treated us like a burden. Her dismissiveness & failure to apologise were appalling. This wasn’t just a bad stay. It was dehumanising. It was the worst Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. I’ll be reporting this establishment to Airbnb, local health authorities & any relevant tourism boards. No one should have to go through what we did. Don’t risk staying here!
