I used to enjoy boxing and considered it a great workout. Before this trip, I found a boxing gym here and was excited to try it out.
One day, I spontaneously decided to walk in. Initially, I just wanted to burn some calories during my vacation, but the coach’s teaching was so attentive and detailed that I was impressed.
The first ten minutes were tough (I haven‘t done high-intensity cardio in a while), but I managed to complete an hour of training. If my legs hadn’t been sore for days and I wasn‘t leaving soon, I would have gone back for another session!

I trained with the guys from “Madness Muay Thai” for around 3 weeks.
It was a lot of fun. All the trainers were super friendly, helpful and really helped me improve my skills. The boys recognized very quickly what level I was at and pushed me individually.
So not only did I have a lot of fun and improved a lot, but I was also able to lose around 5 kilos at the same time.
Definitely one of the highlights on El Nido.

Recently spent three weeks training at Madness MMA in El Nido, I can't say enough good things about this gym, the moment I stepped through the door, I knew I was in for something special.
Firstly, let's talk about the coaches, Rusty and Junell. These guys are absolute legends. They are also genuinely kind-hearted people who are always happy to share their knowledge and provide advice, their dedication to helping each of us to improve and push ourselves was remarkable.
One of the things I enjoyed most about this gym is the small class sizes. With only 2-5 people per class, you can be sure to receive personalized attention and guidance from the coaches. This makes it incredibly easy to learn and improve, as you're able to really focus on refining your techniques and mastering the art of Muay Thai!
Now, let's talk about the atmosphere. The gym itself has a rustic charm that adds to the overall experience. There's a real sense of camaraderie among the students, and everyone is there to support each other and help each other grow.
Thank you Rusty, Junell and Justine I hope to visit again soon!

What a place to experience my first kick boxing class. Everyone at Madness was so friendly and I wish I got to go a couple more times. I definitely got put through my paces (bring plenty of water) Highly recommend Madness for any beginners or seasoned vets! Thanks guys. 🥊

I recently started my Muay Thai journey at this gym while visiting El Nido. Coaches Rusty and Junell are very knowledgeable and patient. They took the time to guide me through the basics and fundamentals, ensuring that my form is spot on.
They don’t rush the sessions, making sure a beginner like me feels comfortable and safe from the start.
If you’re a beginner or advanced looking for a welcoming Muay Thai/Boxing gym with top notch coaches, this is the place to be. I appreciate the dedication of Rusty and Junell in making my training experience enjoyable and effective. Highly recommended.
