We had the most incredible 2-night stay at Mua Tala in Palawan. This is hands down one of the most comfortable places to stay on the entire island. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a refreshing watermelon juice as a welcome drink—it was absolutely divine!
The design of the hotel is stunning, with a beautiful blend of modern and local elements. The interior design is thoughtfully curated, creating a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere throughout the property.
The view from our room was breathtaking, perfectly capturing the natural beauty of El Nido. The king-size bed was exceptionally comfortable, making it hard to leave! The comforter and pillows smelled wonderful and were of the highest quality.
One thing to note is that the stairs leading up to our room were a bit tough, but we realized we needed the cardio since we don’t work out regularly. It felt great afterward!
The bathroom was spacious and immaculate, with a fresh, pleasant scent that made the experience even better. The staff were warm and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyment of my stay.
I can’t recommend Mua Tala enough for anyone visiting Palawan!

At level 7 google reviewer, I limit my 5 stars only to those that wow me. So here...our first choice was Marimegmeg but we didn't get it because of their poor communications. Little did we know that Mua Tala was miles better which actually came in as a blessing. We had 2 itineraries in El Nido, 1st was of course the tours of which we booked at some fairly cheap hotel in the town proper wherein tours are just a walk away and secondly were lots of time to chill of which Mua Tala was a perfect spot. You go to El Nido other than the tours is to view the magnificent towering limestone island formations something Mua Tala best offers where you're far off the hustle of the city. The staff from the reception down to the cleaners were hands down exemplary. The room was nothing but perfect. The hot tub which not even Marimegmeg has, is simply wonderful. The calming scent with candles soothes a long tiring day. And yeah, if you need connection, PLDT was disconnected but again, Mua Tala planned ahead because they gave us WiFi Broadband for connectivity since Globe is basically non existent and Smart is spotty at best. Their free breakfast was sumptuous, though better if it was buffet style. They only have a handful of boutique rooms so not many guests but all were decent. We availed the second from the top room and it was perfection at its finest because of the balcony offers the magnificent view. A bit pricey and for a few grand more, you would have already gotten a cabana on island. But we wouldn't exchange that island feels to the exclusivity that Mua Tala offers being a couple of storeys high with noone around you and all the view for you to take. I've seen some pretty bad reviews about Mua Tala and they certainly worked them out. We couldn't have asked for more..kudos to the staff and management!!!

Quite possibly the best boutique resort in all of El Nido, Palawan! I say the best because of the following reasons:
1. The resort only has a total of 12 rooms. If you want privacy, peace and quiet, this is the place!
2. Unobstructed view of the sunset and no noisy resorts or bars nearby. One of the best sunsets spots (the other is Nacpan Beach!), perfect for hanging out and doing happy hour.
3. Great food and cocktails! From sun up to sundown, breakfast to dinner, food is great!
4. The staff are so friendly and very accommodating!
5. The beach front is perfect for swimming & kayaking and paddle boarding! (You can rent these at the front desk as well)
And the last reason: all the rooms have the view of the sea!!!!

Excellent location on one of the best beaches in El Nido. We had plans to stay 3 nights, ended up extending to 5 nights.
Great location to centrally hop on the various island tours, boats can pick you up directly in front of the hotel if you book private tours. Easy 10-15 min tricycle ride if you’d like to go into El Nido town, however there’s a small retail area, just steps away where you can get massages, coffee, yoga lessons, gym and a handful of restaurants etc
Service is excellent. It’s a property that takes the time to get to know their guests. Hotel owner is regularly on site, happy to chat to provide local tips. We left early (5.30am) on our last morning, hotel made effort to ensure we had help with our bags, airport transfers and pre-ordered a breakfast for us to take away.
Favourite part of the hotel was the Beach Shack, a cool bar that regularly has DJs and Happy Hour specials. Perfect coastal vibe, including coincidentally a Full Moon party when we were there! Yummiest pork spring rolls ever!
Thank you for looking after us + the kids.
Highly recommend!

My family and I were here over Christmas and New Year 2024 and loved it.
The beach is stunning and the hotel has the best location for sunset in El Nido. The vibe here is fun and young, yet family friendly. Our 4 year old daughter enjoyed the fire show at the Full Moon party and loved the pool and beach side swings.
The food (at the upstairs restaurant as well as the Beach Shack) is delicious and the cocktails are great!
My husband worked remotely from the hotel and found the wifi excellent. He was able to hold online meetings with great connection.
The service and staff are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. It felt like a home away from home and we would love to return to this beautiful paradise one day.
