From the moment I arrived, I knew this was going to be a special stay. The manager herself greeted me and took care of everything, making me feel truly welcome. The service here is top-notch—every detail, from the van transfer to the island hopping tours, swimming with turtles, and even visiting breathtaking waterfalls, was perfectly arranged. The resort itself is stunning. Every corner is well maintained, and the villas are simply breathtaking, offering a spectacular view that makes you never want to leave. And the food? The best in town! A perfect mix of European and Filipino cuisine, with their caldereta being an absolute must-try. But what truly took my experience to the next level was the massage—the best I have ever had in my entire life! It was the perfect way to relax and complete the dream vacation. This place is worth every penny and every moment spent. I truly hope The Dream Resort lasts for many years because I will definitely be back next year. If you're planning to visit, just book the villa—the manager will take care of everything. Indeed, a dream vacation!
To start with, I'm giving it only 4 stars for the location because it is remote, and for me that is a demerit, but for some it would be a plus?!! The village of Tay Tay is 4 kilometers away and offers scant services, but you would already know this! So, the resort! Magnificent! You are immediately greeted by a wonderful team of gracious people and ushered into the foyer. Check in is quick and you are quickly ushered down the lush and lovely path to your dreamy villa, which does NOT disappoint! Crisp, clean and and breathtaking, the room is a refreshing and welcome respite to the hot and humid air outside. Everything about it is pleasing to the eye and to the touch! We booked the villa with the pool and we used it frequently! Though we took frequent tours away, we spent plenty of time at the resort, enjoying the pool and snorkeling off of the coastline and exploring, and even ventured out to the faraway point of what appears to be an abandoned project banded "Isabella" which I highly recommend you check out! You can reach it by walking along the shore or by snorkeling, you can see it if reach the shore and look out to your right. Easy to reach. You will not regret! Ok, back to the resort! Awesome, food, even better service! The ladies in the restaurant are absolutely charming and the best service you will encounter anywhere in the Philippines! The service everywhere in the resort is top notch! And do NOT forget to book a message, so affordable and wonderful! Anything you need, you got it! Oh, and there is a lovely lady who is not "really" an employee but somewhat of a figure head anyway who makes her mark on the property, "Mama", a recent transplant from Lebanon, who is omnipresent and simply wonderful and assists the staff in making your stay absolutely fantastic! She personally lent a hand to ensure that our stay was above and beyond and when we said goodbye and hugged everyone, I had tears, we really had developed that personal bond over ten days! The staff are beautiful people and I cannot give them a score high enough and we miss them dearly! The staff was the best part of the experience!!!!
The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and relaxing environment. The landscapes were beautiful and really added to the overall atmosphere of the resort. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. I also had a nice massage! However, we did experience some significant issues with the food. The service at the restaurant was much slower than expected, with our meals taking over an hour and a half to arrive. When the food finally did come, the quality was disappointing. It didn't match the high standards set by the resort in other areas, and unfortunately, some of our group even became sick from it. Overall, the resort itself is lovely, but I would recommend that they address the food and service to truly elevate the experience.
Our experience did not meet our expectations, considering the rate of $350 per night. On the first day, we encountered a concerning incident involving an electric shock from the water. After arriving at the villa, my girlfriend received a severe shock while washing her hands and face in the bathroom, and I experienced the same shock while investigating the situation. Fortunately, we did not suffer serious harm. Initially, we were promised a presidential suite, but that offer was later withdrawn. Other issues included the lack of shower gel, a significant amount of lizard droppings, and inadequate air conditioning. Overall, the experience felt more like a $100 stay rather than the premium service we expected. The food quality is notably poor, as mentioned in many other reviews. The dishes are excessively chewy and lack flavor. Each dish costs approximately 600 PHP, but we ultimately chose not to eat and only consumed fruit. The hotel manager claimed they could organize activities; however, they did not have a list of approved vendors. The vendor responsible for the island excursion took us to a location where food preparation was unhygienic. They used dirty utensils and grilled food directly on the beach floor with rusted steel rods. As a result, we were left without meaningful engagement and chose to eat only fruit due to concerns about food poisoning. Upon returning to the resort, we requested a refund for the activity, citing the unprofessional behavior of the island trip organizers. The resort staff informed us that they could only refund half of the payment since we had consumed the fruits they provided and incurred additional travel expenses. Additionally, they requested that we leave the resort the following day after a heated discussion. Throughout my travels in various countries, I have never encountered such a disappointing travel experience.
Very beautiful place , we had the best villa that they have - presidential. At the beginning at our journey it all started out terribly. But us soon we entered the hotel, we were immediately met by the hotel manager ( unfortunately I don’t remember her name, but she was the best manager in the entire Philippines) she surrounded us with care in best professional way! About hotel itself,- everything is new , the best view, nice breakfast and dinner ( unfortunately the food in Philippines is terrible for me, but in this place u can find a nice European menu)
